Hi, was wondering if Joe ever got an answer. I’m also struggling to get my pics/ films onto my mac. I didn’t format my mircoSD card before I started using it. Would that make a difference? Much appreciated.

Hey, I just bought one of these and have the stupidest question ever: how do I transfer the microSD Card to my Mac? Also, what kind of battery life can I expect from this little CR2? And finally (why not), if I shot only video (no pictures), how much can be stored on the 2GB card in terms of time?

    Thanks much.

Yes it records sound, as well as having a new Black and White Mode…

I gave in to lust after playing with it at the store. The better macro capability, low(er) light capability and the (strangely hidden and takes too much effort to access) black & white mode were what changed my mind. I initially thought I could live happily with the version 1.

The two things I didn’t like about the first camera are the shutter lag and processing time. I wonder if these are improved, and hope when you review it you can address these issues. Because of the slowness of the camera I find myself missing far too many opportune shots, and hope the new edition shows improvement.

I wish they would put in the ability to take a 1:1 ratio picture. It would be fun to have a digital toy camera that takes square format shots as well as normal shots. Just sayin…

I’m sure people will disagree with me on this one, and don’t get me wrong, I really wanted the first one, and I really want the second one.

That said, I’m glad I didn’t splash out on the first one, only to find out the upgrade comes just months later. I’d be pretty angry, considering the price tag.

It’s all a little iPod for me.

I saw a prototype for a white digital harinezumi on Flickr a while ago – do you happen to know if there are plans for this to be released eventually?

Reminds me of the goings-on in the pencam community – technology advances take away some of the lo-fi goodness that makes them unique.

The price should be about the same as the outgoing model, and they will be available toward the end of the month. The sound you can always take off when you import the video also. As for the earlier model getting cheaper, there were a very limited number of units in the first production run, which are now all sold out.

since i have been back home i have been so busy i must have missed these rumors. the lack of sound though is the main thing that atracts me to the original one, so maybe this is good in that it means the old model will get cheaper (or maybe thats wishful thinking).
